With over 25 years of broad experience in the transport and oil industries and academia, Dr. Amer brings a successful track record in co-optimizing fuels and engines for transport applications.
With a global team of 80 researchers and scientists, Dr. Amer managed to mobilize a significant number of global stakeholders around the need to use a mix of transport solutions and energy vectors to ensure a lasting impact on GHGs for Light Duty, Heavy Duty, Marine and Aviation transport sectors.
Dr. Amer spent the earlier part of his career with the automotive industry for over 12 years. Working for Chrysler in Detroit as an engine development specialist, several of his design inventions were implemented in production engines.
Dr. Amer has co-authored over 35 journal articles and has 6 granted patents to his name. He was named amongst the 10 recipients of the 2020 FISITA Academy of Technical Leadership.
A graduate of the University of Jordan, Dr. Amer has a B.S. and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, he has a Ph.D., in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, and a Master in Business Administration from Madonna University, USA.
