Christof studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Graz, with a diploma thesis at Steyr Daimler PUCH (the later MAGNA Steyr) on Viscous couplings for All Wheel Drive systems. After that he spent another 15 years in the same company building up Vehicle Dynamics department, with main focus on brakes – from concept via testing up to homologation, then adding development and calibration of safety systems (ABS/TCS/ESC) for different OEMs.
Christof joined AVL in 2008, starting with the objectivation of Driveability of tractors and trucks – even rallye trucks for the DAKAR. 2018 he moved to the newly funded chassis area, pushing the development of ElectroMechanical Brakes and Brake Emission methodology.
