Dr. Jaroslaw (Jarek) Grochowicz studied automotive engineering at the Technical University of Lublin (Poland) and wrote his PhD on brake judder at the Technical University of Dresden (Germany).
Before joining Ford he worked as a project engineer for friction manufacturer Pagid in Essen (Germany).
Jarek has been with Ford Werke GmbH in Cologne (Germany) since 2001 and is Technical Specialist for Foundation Brakes and Friction Materials.
Since 2017 his main focus is brake emissions. He has been an active member of the team working on GTR 24 “UN GTR on Laboratory Measurement of Brake Emissions for Light-Duty Vehicles” and is part of a team elaborating methodology for brake emission measurements for electrified vehicles.
He has more than 30 years of experience on brakes, has (co-)authored more than 30 papers on brakes and brake emissions published in Europe and USA. He is a member of SAE Brake Colloquium’s Technical Program Advisory Group.
