Yoshifumi Kato is CTO and Head of Advanced Devices Business Group at DENSO CORPORATION. Kato was appointed to this position in January, 2022, and is responsible for Sensor & Semiconductor device business for advanced automobiles.

Prior to this appointment, Kato was chief of Engineering Research & Development Center and was responsible for Digital innovation unit.

Kato joined DENSO CORPORATION (formerly Nippondenso Co., Ltd) in 1985 and had been engaged in research & development of next-generation technologies, including automated driving control technologies and automotive electronic platforms and so on.

Kato is concurrently CEO of MIRISE Technologies Corporation from April, 2020 and is President and CEO of SOKEN INC. from June, 2021.

Kato holds a master’s degree in engineering from Nagoya University.
