The FISITA World Mobility Summit begins on Tuesday 10 November with weekly sessions concluding on Friday 20 November. The Summit is an invitation-only event for FISITA members and specially invited guests.
Downstream R&D Director at EDF Carmen Munoz-Dormoy will be talking in Tuesday’s Technical Session One moderated by Hans Greimel from Automotive News alongside three other speakers about a path to carbon neutral mobility.
Carmen’s priority is on achieving zero carbon emissions and her presentation will benefit mobility service providers willing to decarbonise their activities and all types of end user. Limiting warming to 1.5°C implies reaching net zero CO2 emissions globally around 2050 and concurrent deep reductions in emissions of non-CO2 forcers, particularly methane. Such mitigation pathways are characterized by energy-demand reductions, including decarbonization of electricity and other fuels and electrification of energy end use (IPCC report).
