Congress: Optimization of induction machine generator regime in electro mobile

Event: FISITA World Congress 14-16 September 2021 online

Name: Pavel Mindl, associate professor

Company: Czech Technical University in Prague

Presentation Title: F2020-ADM-099 Optimization of induction machine generator regime in electro mobile

Please introduce yourself briefly…

Assoc. prof. Pavel Mindl, born in 1951. He finished his master study at the Faculty of electrical engineering at the Czech technical university in Prague in 1975. In 1980 he obtained Ph.D. degree in applied physics specialization. Since 1982 he is teaching on the department of Electric drives and traction, Faculty of Electrical Engineering CTU Prague as assistant professor, since 2000 associated professor. His fields of interest are testing problems and industrial application of low voltage switching and protecting apparatus. Last 15 years is oriented on the problems of automotive electric and hybrid drives. He is actively cooperated with automotive group at the Faculty of mechanical engineering CTU, an active member of FISITA.

What you will talk about at this year’s FISITA World Congress?

At his team presentation are summarized research results concerning of induction motor (IM) electric drive efficiency for light electric car. There is theoretically and experimentally verified possibility of efficiency increasing on the borders of IM working range by means of U/f relation optimisation.

What benefits will participants gain from your presentation?

Information about possibility to increase efficiency of induction motor electric drive in border working regimes.

we are on the efficiency border

Which trends do you consider as the most important for your domain of research and your geographical region?

Concerning of electric drives we are on the efficiency border. Main focus is now in energy accumulation (increasing of accumulators capacity), or to use other energy carrier (e.g. hydrogen and its transformation to electricity on the board of car).

Register for the FISITA World Congress now. The last few free sponsored registrations for non-presenting delegates will be gone soon so register quickly!

About the FISITA World Congress

Since 1947, the FISITA World Congress has been the leading international meeting place for industry experts, engineers and executives to exchange ideas and discuss the trends that drive the automotive industry forward. The theme for the 38th FISITA World Congress is 'From automobile to mobility. New roles. New challenges' and it will take place 14-16 September 2021, with the opportunity for the global audience to join virtually available for the first time. Registration is now open, with the Early Bird and special registration rates available until 31 August 2021.

Content from the 2020 FISITA Web Congress is available within the FISITA Technical Library, while material from previous Congress events back to 1998 is available in the FISITA Store. By the time of this year’s Congress, all the content will be available within the FISITA Technical Library, with free access provided to FISITA members.
