Presentation Title: Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis of CRH5 Disc Brake System (EB2021-FBR-005)
Session: Simulation, Testing, Innovative Development Processes (rail), Thursday 20th May 2021, 09:00 - 10:40 (Central European Summer Time - CEST)
What do you find most interesting about the topic of your presentation?
The nonlinear dynamic behaviours of the brake system and the bifurcation, which seems to be irregular but there are still traces to follow.
When discussing this topic with industry peers, what question are you most frequently asked? How do you answer it?
The most easily asked question is what is the advantages of the proposed model. My answer is that the dynamic model of the disc brake system considering the wheel-rail adhesion effect is closer to the train actual operation and can reflect the dynamic behaviors of the disc brake system more realistically.
Who do you think will be most interested in your presentation, and who would you most like to ask questions about it?
Maybe the researches who analysis the nonlinear, stability and bifurcation of the brake system based on the dynamic model will be interested in my presentation.
What specific topics or technology are you hoping to see in other presentations or in the exhibition?
Other presentations about the vehicle system dynamic model by considering the disc brake system will be a surprise for me to study.

About Quan Wang
I am a PhD student from the Southwest Jiaotong University. The previous research work is about the method for reducing vibration and noise of the friction system based on interface control. The mechanism of the damping component and the texture surface on the friction-induced vibration and noise are systematic investigated. Now, my main research field is about the nonlinear dynamic analysis of the brake system by considering the high-speed train structure and operation conditions.
