Updated: Feb 20, 2021

FISITA, the international membership organisation for the automotive and mobility systems engineering profession, today welcomes Mr Steve Taylor to the newly created role of Head of Business Development, FISITA (UK) Ltd.

This appointment comes as FISITA enters the second phase of its modernisation process. In this phase, FISITA’s international membership community expects to see the creation, delivery, maintenance and growth of its Mission-based activities, as an enabler for the multi-disciplined mobility engineers of today and tomorrow, tasked with creating and evolving the ‘technology of mobility’ agenda around the world.

The appointment of an internationally experienced leader, with a proven track record of business development and growth at this time in FISITA’s continued development, is an important addition to the head office team, based in Stansted, UK. Through his successful 25-year career working on business development and marketing within the international technology sector, Steve brings a breadth of experience and complementary skills to the FISITA organisation.

Chris Mason, FISITA CEO, spoke about the appointment of Steve Taylor “I am delighted to be able to welcome Steve into the FISITA team, his leadership skills and unique experience will be of great value to us all and we are excited at the prospect of collaborating with Steve as we continue the exciting journey in support of our members’ creation of next-generation mobility technology within the FISITA community.”

Steve Taylor is a career achiever, with a track record of developing organisational capability and delivering growth in the technology sector. Most recently as Marketing EVP with Linaro (UK) and Director of Corporate Communications and then Solutions Marketing with Arm Holdings (UK). Steve has been appointed to create and deliver a progressive, next phase development strategy, supporting the continuous improvement and achievement of objective-based plans which deliver against highly relevant and demonstrable Mission and Commercial growth objectives.

Of his new appointment, Steve said, “FISITA is uniquely positioned to bring the global automotive and tech industries closer together by supporting and recognizing the work of mobility engineers and organisations working right across this space. I am very excited to join Chris and the FISITA team to work with the FISITA members on developing and advancing the next phase of development.”

Since its founding in 1948, FISITA’s mission has been to deliver collaborative thought leadership and support to the world’s automotive and mobility systems engineers. During this time, the range of skills required of engineers has broadened significantly, but their goal to create safe, sustainable and affordable solutions that interact with people, and more recently, infrastructure has not changed.

FISITA is well placed to bring together engineers, industries and academia in a spirit of cooperation to share knowledge, progress thought leadership and advance the adoption of next-generation technology safely and ethically.
