FISITA Newsletter - May 2024

Dear colleague

As we come to the end of another productive month at FISITA, I am pleased to share several updates in this newsletter.

The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed our new website, which delivers an effective engagement platform, reflects our place in the technology of mobility ecosystem, as well as being more user friendly. This is the first phase of a long-term plan which ensures we continue to develop the functionality and assets available for members.

Our team has been hard at work progressing a number of priorities, and we are particularly focused on the final preparations for EuroBrake 2024, which is now just a few weeks away and will take place in Mainz, Germany, June 17-19. I look forward to connecting with our community at the event.

All the best

Chris Mason

CEO

Working Groups – calling all members

The FISITA Working Group initiative enables international expert peer groups to establish and progress agendas of work aligned with the real-world challenges and opportunities within their area of expertise.

There are currently 6 active FISITA expert Working Groups: Intelligent Safety, Circular Economy, Carbon Neutral Mobility, Digitalisation, Battery Technology, and Industry Disruption.

FISITA working groups leverage the global reach of FISITA. Facilitated by FISITA but member-led, these groups of senior-level mobility engineering experts monthly regularly to discuss a topic of relevance in the pre-competitive space environment of FISITA.

The working groups align with FISITA’s new-era objectives, utilising digital engagement to efficiently connect our international network of experts, with each group authoring influential white papers and progressing their self-determined agendas, achieving highly relevant deliverables. This will collectively contribute to FISITA’s portfolio of activities, including interim reporting, white papers, concluding with their own session and presentation of key findings at the next biennial FISITA World Mobility Conference, held in Barcelona in June 2025.

To join a FISITA working group, or for further information, please contact:  FISITA Chief Technology Officer, Martin Kahl.
