FISITA Web Congress 2020 content available

Over its 70+ year history, the FISITA World Congress has been held biennially, but the recent pandemic crisis has extended this cycle by a year. In 2020, FISITA and the Czech Republic Automotive Society (CAS) have delivered a virtual Web Congress with keynotes delivered on Tuesday 24 November and 64 technical papers, most with slides and many with video presentations, all available in the FISITA Digital Library. The Web Congress content is available free of charge to FISITA Corporate members and to registered Web Congress attendees, while others need to pay an access charge.



Papers presented at the Web Congress were divided into ten themes:

  • ACM – Automated and Connected Mobility

  • ADM – Advanced Vehicle Driveline and Energy Management

  • CAF – Conventional and Alternative Fuels and Lubricants

  • DGT – Digital Transformation

  • EPV – Emissions and Pollutants Caused by Vehicles

  • MCF – Mobility Comfort

  • MML – Manufacturing, Materials and Lightweight Solutions

  • PIF – Passive and Integral Safety

  • VDC – Vehicle Dynamics and Controls

  • VES – Vehicle Electronics and Software

In addition to the Technical Papers, a keynote session featured the following speakers:

  • Ivan Hodáč President of the Aspen Institute talked about The Automotive Industry: What next?

  • Dino Flore, VP Technology at Qualcomm Europe presented The transformational impact autonomous driving will have on cars & the transportation system

  • Dirk Lappe, Technical Director at Porsche Engineering Digital transformation in the automotive industry

  • Martin Hrdlička, Head of Driveline Development at Škoda Auto a.s. talked about Mobility & Powertrains in context

  • Senior Futurist at Future Matters Christoph Gümbel presented Speed Matters in Vehicle Development & the specific role of CAE
