Presentation Title: An Evaluation System for Intelligence of Automatic Driving Vehicles
Session: Keynote
What are you planning to talk about at the Intelligent Safety Conference, and who do you think will benefit most from what you have to say?
I plan to talk about the evaluation of the level and performance of the automated driving system. Researchers and engineers working on intelligent vehicle will benefit from the report.
Intelligent safety technology is at the heart of mobility development – how do you see it evolving as ADAS develops into fully autonomous functionality?
The evaluation of intelligence of automated driving systems is key to ensuring intelligent vehicles are well received by society.
What other factors do you expect to shape the development of intelligent safety technology? (e.g., legislation or standards, new technology, or changing consumer expectations)
New technology eg the evaluation of intelligence of automated driving system will shape the development of intelligent vehicles.
What attracts you personally to the area of intelligent safety?
I have been working on driver models since the 1980s. I proposed a universal driver model that integrated controls of the longitudinal and lateral motion of vehicles, which can be used for various driving simulations of intelligent vehicles. The model gives a unique innovation scheme that complies with level 3+ intelligent vehicles.
What advances or changes in intelligent safety would you most like to see implemented in mainstream vehicles?
I would like to see automated driving systems meet the requirement of not only safety, but also physical and mental comfort.
