Stansted, 12 May 2021: As chassis systems gain importance in next-generation vehicle development, EuroBrake is delighted to confirm a high-calibre Strategy Panel which will address a range of big picture topics shaping the future of vehicle engineering and braking.

Chaired by Jan Münchhoff (Audi, and Chair of EuroBrake Steering Committee) and Prof. Dr. Georg Ostermeyer (TU Braunschweig), confirmed panellists include:

  • Manfred Meyer – Senior Vice President Active Safety division, ZF Group

  • Ulrich Schulmeister – Vice President Systems Engineering Vehicle, Robert Bosch GmbH

  • William Wei – Chief Technology Officer, Foxconn Group

  • Prof. Dr. Peter E Pfeffer – Automotive Engineering, Munich University of Applied Sciences

Titled “Chassis Systems – a new approach to OEM and Tier 1 collaboration?” this 100-minute-long EuroBrake Strategy Panel takes place during EuroBrake 2021, and will include consideration of the following:

  • A new era of OEM-supplier collaboration

  • Standardization – requirements and opportunities

  • Supply chain evolution

  • Scientific tasks and working fields

  • Main interface challenges

  • Outlook and future opportunities

The EuroBrake Strategy Panel will address these topics and more, raising awareness of the strategic issues shaping chassis systems development and how they impact everything from braking technology to automaker value propositions. 


Members of the EuroBrake Strategy Panel will be available to support follow-up discussions during and after EuroBrake 2021.


The EuroBrake Strategy Panel event takes place on Wednesday 19 May 2021, 15:00 – 16:40 CEST.
