The World Café session of the FISITA World Mobility Summit

The World Café session of the FISITA World Mobility Summit were introduced at the Summit in 2016 in Palo Alto, and it proved popular. It is FISITA’s interactive method to gather viewpoints of the thought-leaders attending the Summit. It is an opportunity for delegates to take part in some important industry discussions.

The goal is to have everyone contribute their ideas and perspective. The results of the discussions are presented at the Summit Summary Sessions and included in the Summit Output Paper.

This year, there were three sessions held regionally on the same day. Each session considered the same three questions on the following topics: Zero Impact on the Environment & Zero Waste; Zero Stress & Zero Left Out (access to mobility for all) and Zero Fatalities (greater Intelligent Safety). With a recognised thought-leader acting as Table Captain in each discussion group, the groups were guided through the discussions with the key messages being summarised and captured in real time by FISITA Staff members.

When the results of these discussions were presented by the Table Captains it was very interesting to see that while some of the key messages were the same across all the regions, there were many differences too.
